Trips to Yerevan, Armenia
Welcome to the heart of Armenia, the capital city of Yerevan that you will discover thanks to trips to Yerevan.
Let’s start virtual trips to Yerevan and pass through 3000 years old history beginning from Erebuni fortress dating back to 782 BC and ending up to our days. It is the meeting of the past and the future. History is written and stored in its monuments and memorials and in the memories of its older generations that are trying to pass the reminiscences onto the younger generation. In this already cosmopolitan city you can come across with 5 floor buildings remaining still from the Soviet times on the background of big modern buildings, you will of course shop around the modern supermarkets but still the flee market of Vernissage has its own charm and no tourist leaves Armenia without buying a nice souvenir or bargain from here. While your trips to Yerevan you will see the Republic Square which is designed in the traditional Armenian architectural style and includes the Government House, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Post Office and the National Art Gallery. Let’s visit also the History Museum where you find important archaeological collections from Stone Age through Medieval periods. And have you heard about Matenadaran manuscript depository? It’s unique in the world with its ancient manuscript collection among them the first copy of the Bible translated into Armenian and many others. Then we will continue our trips to Yerevan and will walk along the famous Mashtots Avenue to discover more. On your right side you will see Cascade. This is one of the most favorite places of “Yerevanians” as only for the top of the many stairs you can see the most beautiful view opening over Yerevan city guarded by Mother Armenia statue. Just in front of Cascade the most musical part of our city is situated. Two great musicians are standing here. Komitas – the founder of modern Armenian classical music and Aram Khachaturian - a prominent world famous Armenian composer, the author of the music of Saber Dance, Spartacus and Gayane ballets. The next stop is fruit market where you will find Armenian local produce: fruits, vegetables, spices, dried fruits and much more.
Trips to Yerevan will finish up over a cup of coffee in one of the open air cafes. Now you are free to enjoy Yerevan at your own and feel the real taste of Armenian coffee and chocolate. We can go on with your virtual trip but it’s time to buy the ticket to enjoy your holidays in Armenia. Note we are always happy to see you here!
