Who Needs a Visa?

Most travelers need a visa to enter Armenia.

Citizens of some countries can stay for up to 180 days without a visa within a year, depending on agreements with Armenia.

Invitation-only Visas: Citizens of certain countries can only apply for a visa with an invitation. You can find the full list here.
Types of Visas

Visitor Visa: Issued for up to 120 days, with the option to extend for another 60 days.

Official and Diplomatic Visas: Issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

E-Visas: Available for certain nationalities.
Visa-Free Access (up to 180 days)
Citizens from countries like Andorra, Australia, France, Germany, and many others don’t need a visa to visit Armenia. You can stay for up to 180 days in one year. See the full list on the Visa-Free Countries section.
Temporary Visa Exemption (2023-2026)
Nationals from 113 countries holding a valid residence permit from the USA, EU, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others are exempt from needing a visa from January 1 to July 1, 2026. They can stay up to 180 days.
How to Apply for a Visa
If you need an invitation, it must be submitted through the Unified Portal and can come from:

Individuals (submitted to the Migration and Citizenship Service)
Visa Extension
To extend your stay, contact the Migration and Citizenship Service for a visa extension application.
Arriving and Leaving Armenia

You must have a valid passport and, if required, a visa or residency status.

Minors can enter with parents or legal guardians.

If you arrive without the proper documents, you may be denied entry.
