One of France’s most famous publications, Le Figaro, featured Yerevan in an article as one of the world’s 5 “pink” cities․
They write: Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is often called the “Pink City” thanks to its unique volcanic tuff stone, glowing in soft rose hues. One of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, founded in 782 BC, Yerevan was reshaped in the 20th century by architect Alexander Tamanian, who gave its center a harmonious, elegant style still admired today.
